Von Duprin 6213 Electric Strike — Satin Bronze
The Von Duprin 6213 is the direct replacement for the older Von Duprin 6200 legacy strikes. Same cutout, same mounting pattern — pull the old 6200 and drop this in. Upgraded stainless steel construction and modern solenoid design. Equipped with a dual signal door position switch for remote monitoring. Factory configured as fail secure with 12VDC operation. Fire rated UL 10C. If you're maintaining a building with original VD 6200 strikes, this is the factory-engineered upgrade path.
⚡ Fail Safe vs. Fail Secure — What's the Difference?
Fail Safe — Strike unlocks when power is lost. The door can be opened freely during a power outage. Required on most fire-rated egress doors for life safety. This is the default for fire exits and emergency egress paths.
Fail Secure — Strike remains locked when power is lost. Key override is always available from outside. Used for server rooms, evidence rooms, or anywhere security must be maintained during a power failure. The mechanical push bar still allows free egress from inside.
