    PRO TIP: Measuring Backset on Storefronts

    Storefront backsets are unforgiving. Unlike residential locks, Adams Rite hardware usually comes in 31/32", 1-1/8", or 1-1/2" backsets. A 1/8" mistake means the lock won't clear the glass or the strike won't line up. Always measure from the center of the cylinder hole to the edge of the door before ordering your MS Deadlock replacement.

    Yes, they share the same door prep. This is a common swap when a business wants to move from a manual "flip-turn" bolt to a latch that works with a paddle or handle.

    The MS deadbolt uses a laminated steel bolt that can withstand massive pry-force, specifically designed to bridge the gap between the door and the jamb on aluminum stiles.
