    Understanding PTC vs. Fused Protection

    One of the most common questions we get is whether to use the PTC (auto-reset) boards or the Fused boards.

    PTC (900-8P-FA): These are "solid-state" breakers. If there is a short at the door, the PTC trips and then auto-resets once the fault is fixed.     Yes. You can either add the standalone 900-FA relay module to your existing setup, or replace your current distribution board with an "FA" version like the 900-8P-FA to save cabinet space.

    Are Von Duprin PS900 power supplies compatible with other brands?

    While designed for Von Duprin, the PS900 series provides standard 12/24VDC regulated power, making them compatible with Schlage, Adams Rite, Falcon, and other electrified hardware that operates on 12 or 24 VDC. The distribution boards and relay controls are designed specifically for Von Duprin devices, but the base power output works universally.

    How long does the 900-BBK battery backup last during a power outage?

    The 900-BBK includes two 7A/hr batteries that provide up to 4 hours of backup power, depending on total system load. If your batteries are dead, grab the 900-BAT replacement set.

    What is the difference between the 900-4R and 900-4RL?
