Pro-Installer FAQ
Can this device be cut down for narrower doors?
Yes, the pushbar can be field-cut for doors narrower than standard width. Measure carefully and cut from the hinge end only. The lock stile end must remain factory length for proper strike engagement.
How loud is the alarm?
The exit alarm produces approximately 100dB at 3 feet — comparable to a car horn. Loud enough to deter and alert without causing hearing damage for brief exposure.
Why would I choose Less Dogging?
LD (Less Dogging) is required on fire-rated door openings where code prohibits holding the latch open. Even if the device itself isn't fire-rated, the opening may require LD based on the door's fire label.
