Rim exit devices are the simplest and most common configuration — the latch engages the strike at the edge of the door. One device, one strike, one installation.
The Sargent 12-8846J-BSP is a fire-rated Grade 1 rim exit device from the 80 Series for 42" openings with Storeroom function — outside trim is always locked, key required for every entry. Push bar always operates from inside for emergency egress. UL listed for fire-rated openings up to 3 hours.
Black Suede — a textured matte black finish that's more forgiving than smooth black. Hides scratches, fingerprints, and daily wear better than any polished finish.
