Rim exit devices are the simplest and most common configuration — the latch engages the strike at the edge of the door. One device, one strike, one installation.
The Sargent 1256-8876G-10 is a fire-rated Grade 1 rim exit device from the 80 Series for 48" openings with Exit Only function. UL listed for fire-rated openings up to 3 hours.
Fire Rated (12- prefix) — This device is UL listed for fire-rated openings. Do NOT substitute a non-fire-rated device (8- prefix) on a fire-rated opening — your fire marshal will require removal and replacement.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: When specifying exit devices for double doors without a mullion, each leaf gets its own device. The active leaf (with the lock) gets the full device with trim. The inactive leaf gets a dummy push bar or flush bolt setup depending on the spec.

Warranty Information
Sargent provides a 3-year limited warranty on electromechanical components covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service.
