    Product Description

    Concealed vertical rod devices hide the rods inside the door for a cleaner appearance. The trade-off for better aesthetics? The door must be prepped for internal rod routing, and field service requires removing the push bar.

    The Sargent 1943-MD8606E-ETW-RHR-10 is a Grade 1 concealed vertical rod exit device from the 80 Series for 32" openings with Storeroom function — outside trim is always locked, key required for every entry. Push bar always operates from inside for emergency egress.

    Escutcheon, W Lever provides outside access while the push bar handles emergency egress from inside.

    This device is Right Hand Reverse. Exit devices are HANDED and cannot be reversed in the field. Stand outside the door facing it: hinges on the left = Left Hand, hinges on the right = Right Hand. If the door swings toward you, add "Reverse." Verify your handing before ordering.
    Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: Exit devices are HANDED — and getting the handing wrong on a $2,000+ device is an expensive mistake. Stand OUTSIDE the door and face it: if the hinges are on the LEFT, it's Left Hand (LH). If the hinges are on the RIGHT, it's Right Hand (RH). For doors that swing toward you, add 'Reverse' — LHR or RHR.
