2227DT-SP313-3 Von Duprin 22 Series Dummy Trim Non Fire-Rated Surface Vertical Rod Exit Device in Duranodic Dark Bronze
The Von Duprin 2227DT-SP313-3 is a wide stile surface vertical rod exit device for pairs of aluminum storefront doors where both leaves need to be active. Dummy Trim — non-functional outside pull for appearance. Provides a handle on the outside without any latch control. No cylinder required for this function.
The 2227 latches at the header and threshold instead of the strike jamb — the standard choice when two active leaves share a single opening. Surface-mounted rods are visible on the door face. Available in 3-foot width. UL listed for panic exit hardware with hex key dogging standard. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: Fire-rated 2227-F models do NOT have mechanical dogging. That's UL code — fire doors must remain latched at all times. If the customer wants the doors to stay open during business hours, you need a magnetic hold-open device tied to the fire alarm system.
