2227NL-SP313-4 Von Duprin 22 Series with 210NL Night Latch Non Fire-Rated Surface Vertical Rod Exit Device in Duranodic Dark Bronze
The Von Duprin 2227NL-SP313-4 is a wide stile surface vertical rod exit device for pairs of aluminum storefront doors where both leaves need to be active. Night Latch — outside lever locks and unlocks by key, inside always free for egress. When locked, key is required for re-entry from outside. Ships less cylinder — order a mortise cylinder separately to match your existing keyway.
The 2227 latches at the header and threshold instead of the strike jamb — the standard choice when two active leaves share a single opening. Surface-mounted rods are visible on the door face. Available in 4-foot width. UL listed for panic exit hardware with hex key dogging standard. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: When installing the 2227 on pairs of doors, you need a coordinator if both doors are fire-rated. The inactive leaf has to close first so the astragal seats properly. The coordinator is NOT included — order it separately.
