4582-T2-RHR-US3 Von Duprin 4582 Series Monitor Strikes in Bright Brass Finish
The Von Duprin 4582-T2-RHR-US3 series are designed to offer users remote door monitoring utilizing a signal switch mounted in the strike to monitor the latch bolt. These models are designed for use with Von Duprin and almost all other manufacturers rim, mortise, surface and concealed vertical rod exit devices and cylindrical, mortise and unit type locks. The Von Duprin monitor strike replaces the standard door strike found in normal set ups.
The tripper in the monitor strike is depressed when the latch bolt is fully inserted in the strike. This stainless steel tripper in turn activates an electric switch - this is how the monitoring takes place.

Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: The 4582 is a monitor strike, not an electric strike — it doesn't release the latch. What it does is report door position back to your access control panel via a built-in switch. Make sure you spec the right trim type: T1 for standard and T2 for DERA-compliant applications.
