The Von Duprin 5547WDC-TL-US26D is a narrow stile concealed vertical rod exit device that hides the rods inside the door stile for a clean, unobstructed look on glass and aluminum doors. Turn Lever — outside lever turns to retract latch. Thumbturn operation provides passage without a key. No cylinder required for this function.
The 5547 is the top-and-bottom latching version of the 55 Series — it secures at the header and threshold instead of the strike jamb, making it the standard choice for pairs of narrow stile doors. Concealed rods mean nothing shows on the door face. This is a handed device — verify LHR or RHR before ordering. UL listed for panic exit hardware with hex key dogging standard. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: Fire-rated 5547-F models do not include dogging. That's code — fire doors must remain latched at all times. If the spec calls for a fire-rated narrow stile CVR, make sure the end user knows the door won't stay open without a separate hold-open device tied to the fire alarm.
