5547NL-US10 Von Duprin 5547 Series with 550NL Night Latch - Concealed Vertical Rod Device in Satin Bronze
The Von Duprin 5547NL-US10 is a narrow stile concealed vertical rod exit device that hides the rods inside the door stile for a clean, unobstructed look on glass and aluminum doors. Night Latch — outside lever locks and unlocks by key, inside always free for egress. When locked, key is required for re-entry from outside. Ships less cylinder — order a mortise cylinder separately to match your existing keyway.
The 5547 is the top-and-bottom latching version of the 55 Series — it secures at the header and threshold instead of the strike jamb, making it the standard choice for pairs of narrow stile doors. Concealed rods mean nothing shows on the door face. This is a handed device — verify RHR or RHR before ordering. UL listed for panic exit hardware with hex key dogging standard. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: When installing the 5547 on a pair of doors, make sure the inactive leaf has a flush bolt that coordinates with the active device. The 5547 does NOT come with a coordinator — order that separately if both doors need to close in sequence for fire code.
