The Von Duprin 5547WDC-TL-F-US3 is a narrow stile concealed vertical rod exit device that hides the rods inside the door stile for a clean, unobstructed look on glass and aluminum doors. Turn Lever — outside lever turns to retract latch. Thumbturn operation provides passage without a key. No cylinder required for this function.
The 5547 is the top-and-bottom latching version of the 55 Series — it secures at the header and threshold instead of the strike jamb, making it the standard choice for pairs of narrow stile doors. Concealed rods mean nothing shows on the door face. This is a handed device — verify RHR or RHR before ordering. UL listed for fire exit hardware — no mechanical dogging on fire-rated models. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: When installing the 5547 on a pair of doors, make sure the inactive leaf has a flush bolt that coordinates with the active device. The 5547 does NOT come with a coordinator — order that separately if both doors need to close in sequence for fire code.
