55L-US26-LHR Von Duprin 55 Series with Left Handed 379L Lever - Rim Exit Device in Bright Chrome
The Von Duprin 55L-US26-LHR is a narrow stile rim exit device built for aluminum storefront and glass doors where standard-width exit devices won't fit. Lever Trim — outside lever retracts the latch for entry. Lever operation controlled by cylinder on keyed functions. Ships less cylinder — order a mortise cylinder separately to match your existing keyway.
The 55 Series crossbar design provides a wide "strike zone" for egress on doors with stiles as narrow as 1-3/4". Unlike modern pushpad devices, the crossbar spans nearly the full width of the door — giving occupants maximum activation area in an emergency. This is a handed device — verify LHR or RHR before ordering. UL listed for panic exit hardware with hex key dogging standard. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: The most common callback on the 55 is a sagging crossbar caused by loose wedge screws in the lever arm. When installing, use medium-strength thread locker on those set screws. It'll save you a trip back.
