The Sargent 8205 is a Entry/Office function mortise lock from the 8200 Series — Sargent's heavy-duty commercial mortise platform. Key locks/unlocks outside lever. Inside lever always free. Lever stays unlocked until re-locked by key.
The 60- prefix means this lock is prepped for Large Format Interchangeable Core (LFIC). The image above shows the lock with a cylinder for reference. Order your LFIC housing and core separately — check Related Products below for compatible options.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: The 8205 is one of the most-ordered Sargent mortise functions. The outside lever stays unlocked after one key turn — no re-keying to toggle. If you need it to relock on each closing, you want the 8204 Storeroom instead.
