The Sargent 60-8270-24V-LW1J-32D is a Fail Safe function mortise lock from the 8200 Series — Sargent's flagship commercial mortise platform that's been trusted on schools, hospitals, office buildings, and government facilities for decades. Fail Safe electric operation wired for 12/24VDC from your access control panel, card reader, or keypad system. The lock retracts the latch automatically when power is cut — code-required on fire-rated egress doors.
This one comes with LW1 Escutcheon, J Lever in Satin Stainless — the 32D finish that laughs at corrosion. Coastal, pool areas, food service, anywhere moisture is a factor. Costs more than chrome but outlasts it 3-to-1 in harsh environments.
