    The Sargent 60-8271-24V-LNL-4 is a Fail Secure function mortise lock from the 8200 Series — Sargent's flagship commercial mortise platform that's been trusted on schools, hospitals, office buildings, and government facilities for decades. Fail Secure electric operation wired for 12/24VDC from your access control panel. The lock stays locked when power is cut — the right choice for secured rooms where losing power should not mean losing security. Inside lever always free for egress.

    Fail Secure Operation — This lock stays locked when power is lost. If the building loses power or the access control panel goes down, this door stays locked from outside. Inside lever is always free for egress (code requirement). Use on server rooms, pharmacies, evidence rooms — anywhere keeping people OUT is the priority during an outage.
    LFIC Prep — Ships With Housing, Less Core — The 60- prefix means this lock ships with an LFIC housing (cylinder) instead of a standard pinned cylinder. Install the lock in the door first, then screw the LFIC housing into the lock body like any mortise cylinder. Order your LFIC core separately to match your building's keyway — the core snaps into the housing with a control key. No re-pinning, no tools, swap takes 10 seconds. That's why universities and hospitals love LFIC — one lost key doesn't mean rekeying a whole building.

    This one comes with LN Rose, L Lever in Satin Brass — the 04 finish making a huge comeback in commercial design. Popular on boutique hotels, upscale office buildings, and any project where the architect wants warm tones.

    The L lever is Sargent's straight-design commercial lever — clean lines, ADA compliant, gets the job done without drawing attention to itself. The lever that disappears into the building.
