Von Duprin 6212WF Electric Strike — Satin Stainless Steel
The Von Duprin 6212WF combines the round-corner prep of the 6212 with an oversized wide faceplate. Built for retrofit jobs where you need to cover a larger cutout on a round-prep frame. Same stainless internals. Equipped with a dual signal low-current switch for monitoring systems requiring minimal current draw. Factory configured as fail secure with 12VDC operation. Fire rated UL 10C. When the existing round-corner cutout is oversized or damaged, this wide face covers it without blocking or frame repair.
⚡ Fail Safe vs. Fail Secure — What's the Difference?
Fail Safe — Strike unlocks when power is lost. The door can be opened freely during a power outage. Required on most fire-rated egress doors for life safety. This is the default for fire exits and emergency egress paths.
Fail Secure — Strike remains locked when power is lost. Key override is always available from outside. Used for server rooms, evidence rooms, or anywhere security must be maintained during a power failure. The mechanical push bar still allows free egress from inside.
