Von Duprin 6214 Electric Strike — Satin Brass
The Von Duprin 6214 has a compact body designed specifically for 1-3/4" door applications where frame depth is tight. Same heavy-duty stainless construction as the rest of the 6200 line. Factory configured as fail safe with dual signal monitoring switch. 12VDC operation. Fire rated UL 10C. When the frame won't accept a standard-depth strike body, the 6214's shallow profile gets the job done. Check your frame depth before ordering.
⚡ Fail Safe vs. Fail Secure — What's the Difference?
Fail Safe — Strike unlocks when power is lost. The door can be opened freely during a power outage. Required on most fire-rated egress doors for life safety. This is the default for fire exits and emergency egress paths.
Fail Secure — Strike remains locked when power is lost. Key override is always available from outside. Used for server rooms, evidence rooms, or anywhere security must be maintained during a power failure. The mechanical push bar still allows free egress from inside.
