Von Duprin 6226 Electric Strike — Satin Brass
The Von Duprin 6226 is a direct replacement for Folger Adam 310-2 strikes. Same prep, designed to drop into the existing FA 310-2 cutout without frame modification. Heavy-duty stainless steel with standard 6200 series reliability. Factory configured as fail safe with dual signal monitoring switch. 12VDC operation. Fire rated UL 10C. When you're pulling old FA 310-2s and upgrading to Von Duprin, this is the exact retrofit model.
⚡ Fail Safe vs. Fail Secure — What's the Difference?
Fail Safe — Strike unlocks when power is lost. The door can be opened freely during a power outage. Required on most fire-rated egress doors for life safety. This is the default for fire exits and emergency egress paths.
Fail Secure — Strike remains locked when power is lost. Key override is always available from outside. Used for server rooms, evidence rooms, or anywhere security must be maintained during a power failure. The mechanical push bar still allows free egress from inside.
