8827EO-F-US10 Von Duprin 8827 Series Exit Only Fire Rated Surface Vertical Rod Device in Satin Bronze
The Von Duprin 8827EO-F-US10 is a narrow stile surface vertical rod exit device that latches at the header and threshold for pairs of doors. Exit Only — push bar operation from inside only, no outside trim. Free egress from inside. No cylinder required for this function.
The 8827 uses surface-mounted rods for top-and-bottom latching on narrow stile doors. Standard choice for pairs of aluminum storefront doors where both leaves need to be active. This is a handed device — verify LHR or RHR before ordering. UL listed for fire exit hardware — no mechanical dogging on fire-rated models. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: When pairing 8827 devices on double doors, the inactive leaf needs a flush bolt or matching device. If both doors are fire-rated, you also need a coordinator — order that separately. Fire-rated 8827-F models have no dogging per code.
