The HES 9400 is the slim-line member of the surface-mount family — just 5/8" thick. Designed for rim exit devices with up to a 1/2" Pullman latch. No frame cutting. Stick it on the frame surface, line it up with the latch, screw it down. Decorative cover hides the fasteners. Ships with a 1/8" spacer plate for door gap adjustment. 1,500 lbs static, 70 ft-lbs dynamic, million cycles. Dual voltage 12/24 VDC. Not fire rated and not windstorm rated — if you need fire, use the 9500; windstorm, use the 9600. UL 1034 outdoor rated. Good workhorse for interior rim panic hardware.

Finished in satin stainless steel. Includes latchbolt and strike position monitoring for full door status feedback to your access control panel.
