ALX170-OME-605 Schlage ALX Series Dummy Trim Lever — Single Dummy Trim, Omega Lever, Bright Brass
You need a lever on a door that does not latch: a pull on a door held by something else, or a lever on the inactive side so the opening matches. The ALX170 is that and nothing more. One rigid plain lever for one face of the door. No key, no latch bolt, and no hardware on the inside.
This one is the Omega lever on the Omega rose, in Bright Brass. Use it alone as a pull, or on the inactive side beside a working ALX lever in the same finish so the two match.

Compliance & Codes
The ALX Series is ANSI/BHMA Certified A156.2-2011, Series 4000, Grade 2. This trim has no latch, so it does not latch a door and it does nothing to hold a fire door shut. Complies with ICC A117.1. Schlage states all ALX lever designs meet ADA requirements.

Q: Does this latch the door?
A: No. There is no latch bolt. It is a rigid lever for use as a door pull or as matching inactive trim, so something else has to hold the door.
Q: Can I change it to a working function later?
A: No. Schlage says the single dummy is not available for in-field function changes. If you may need a latch later, buy the ALX10 passage now.
Q: Is this a Grade 1 lock?
A: The Omega lever is rated Grade 1 by Schlage, but the ALX Series as a lock is certified Grade 2. If the spec says Grade 1 for the whole lock, step up to the Schlage ND Series.
