The Sargent LC-8237-LE1J-26 is a Classroom function mortise lock from the 8200 Series — Sargent's flagship commercial mortise platform that's been trusted on schools, hospitals, office buildings, and government facilities for decades. Classroom function — the outside lever is key-controlled: unlock for class, lock for security. Inside lever is always free for egress. The lock relocks automatically when the door closes.
This one comes with LE1 Escutcheon, J Lever in Bright Chrome — the high-polish 26 finish that makes a statement in upscale lobbies, executive suites, and retail environments. It shows fingerprints more than satin, but the visual impact is worth it in the right application.
