The Sargent LC-8240-LNP-26D is a Classroom function mortise lock from the 8200 Series — Sargent's flagship commercial mortise platform that's been trusted on schools, hospitals, office buildings, and government facilities for decades. Classroom function — the outside lever is key-controlled: unlock for class, lock for security. Inside lever is always free for egress. The lock relocks automatically when the door closes.
This one comes with LN Rose, P Lever in Satin Chrome — the 26D finish you see on 90% of commercial jobs because it hides fingerprints, resists wear, and matches every other piece of hardware in the building. When in doubt, 26D is the safe bet.
