LX7827EO-US26D-4 Von Duprin 78 Series Exit Only Surface Vertical Rod Exit Device in Satin Chrome
The Von Duprin LX7827EO-US26D-4 is a surface vertical rod exit device that latches at the header and threshold for pairs of storefront doors. Exit Only — push bar operation from inside only, no outside trim. Free egress from inside. No cylinder required for this function.
The 7827 uses surface-mounted rods for top-and-bottom latching. Standard choice for pairs of doors where both leaves need to be active. Available in 4-foot width. Rods are visible on the door face. UL listed for panic exit hardware with hex key dogging standard. ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: When pairing 7827 devices on double doors, make sure you have a coordinator if both doors are fire-rated. The inactive leaf needs to close first so the astragal seats properly. The coordinator is NOT included with the device.
