The RX9857L-KC-12 4 US3 RHR is a Von Duprin 9857 Series Surface Three Point Latch exit device with L-12 Lever trim in Bright Brass (US3/605), sized for 4' doors. Key Capture — key is physically captured in the cylinder when lever is unlocked. Must relock to remove key. Ideal for key management in schools, hospitals, and government buildings. Ships less cylinder — order a mortise cylinder separately to match your existing keyway.
Request to Exit — Request to Exit switch signals the access control system when the exit device is activated. 24VDC.
ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified. Hex key dogging standard. Factory set RHR, field reversible.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: When servicing a 9857 three-point latch, check all three latch points independently. A misaligned top or bottom bolt can cause the whole device to bind. Adjust strikes one at a time, starting with the rim latch, then top, then bottom.
