V-Line publishes this triplet without naming the axes, and we are not going to guess which number is the height. Treat the three figures as the box's three measurements and check the one that matters for your install before ordering — call (877) 365-5625 and we will confirm the orientation with V-Line.
California buyers: V-Line states that its long-gun cases are not classified as a safe by the California DOJ and are not registered Firearm Safety Devices, so this case cannot be used to satisfy the safety-device requirement on a new firearm purchase in California. Its handgun cases can; this one cannot. Do not assume otherwise from the rest of the range.
