The Ives 114XY is a geared continuous hinge that distributes door weight along the full length of the door edge, eliminating the wear points of conventional butt hinges on high-traffic openings. Running the full height of the opening, it spreads the load across the whole door edge instead of two or three butt hinges, which keeps doors hanging true on high-cycle and heavier openings.
