Surface vertical rod devices secure at the head and threshold with rods visible on the door face. The standard configuration for double doors without a center mullion — each leaf latches independently into the header and floor.
The Sargent 1256-8774J-12V-ETW-RHR-10B is a fire-rated Grade 1 surface vertical rod exit device from the 80 Series for 42" openings with Fail Secure function. UL listed for fire-rated openings up to 3 hours.
