Mortise exit devices latch through a mortise lock case set into the edge of the door — the same pocket a mortise lockset uses. The door must be prepped for the mortise case before you order.
The Sargent 1256-8915F-ETA-RHR-3 is a fire-rated Grade 1 mortise exit device from the Sargent 80 Series (8900 mortise) for 36" openings with Passage function. UL listed for fire-rated openings up to 3 hours.
