The Sargent 25-CPS-4 (our part number 25CPS-4) is the heavy duty parallel arm with built-in compression stop for Sargent surface closers, in 4 — US4 / 606 satin brass finish. This is the arm only — the closer body is not included. It is the same 25-CPS arm Sargent lists for its 351, 281 and 1431 series closers.
Order it when the arm on your existing Sargent closer is bent, worn or broken and the closer body itself is still good. The compression stop is built into the arm, so it stops the door's swing at the frame instead of letting the door, closer and hinges take the hit.

Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: Check what you have before you order. The model number is cast or stamped on the closer body — look for 351, 281 or 1431. Then look at the arm: a CPS arm stops the door with a built-in bumper; a CPSH arm also holds the door open. They are different arms, so order the one you are replacing.
Works With: Sargent 351, 281 and 1431 series closers mounted parallel arm. Not for a regular-arm (pull side) or top jamb mounting.
