28/70 C KD ABUS Original Diskus Padlock, 2-3/4", Keyed Different
The ABUS 28/70 is the original Diskus, the round padlock you see on storage units, trailers and roll-up doors. The round body wraps around the shackle, so there is very little shackle showing for a bolt cutter to bite.
This is the 70 mm (2-3/4 in.) size with a 3/8 inch hardened steel shackle. ABUS uses deep welding on the body for strength. It is keyed different, so each lock has its own key.

Q: Why a disc lock for a storage unit?
A: The shackle is almost fully covered by the body, so bolt cutters have nothing to grab. That is why storage facilities ask for disc locks.
Q: I need several locks on one key.
A: This listing is keyed different. ABUS also makes the 28/70 keyed alike under set key numbers (for example 28/70 KA 0028). Those are separate items, so ask before you order.
Q: Will it fit my storage door latch?
A: Check that the latch hole takes a 3/8 in. shackle. Most self storage roll-up door latches are made for disc locks this size.
