The LCN 4010 is a heavy-duty 4000-series surface closer built for high-traffic commercial and institutional doors, with adjustable spring power and full hydraulic speed and back-check control. This is a surface-mounted closer. Configured here as the LCN 4010 in Dark Bronze. Adjustable closing and latch speeds let you tune the door to the opening, and the back-check protects the closer and frame from wind or abuse. LCN has been the door-closer of choice for North American commercial buildings for decades.
Warranty Information
LCN Limited Warranty
LCN, an Allegion brand, warrants that its products are free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service for the period stated below. This warranty extends only to the original purchaser and is not transferable.
Coverage period: heavy duty surface closers (1460, 4040XP, 4040SE, 4116) carry a ten (10) year limited warranty against material and workmanship defects. Medium duty surface closers (1260, 1450, 1450T) carry a five (5) year limited warranty. Closer arms, shoes, covers, mounting plates, and replacement components carry a one (1) year limited warranty. Finish carries a one (1) year limited warranty against peeling, blistering, and corrosion under normal indoor service.
What is covered: manufacturing defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. Liability is limited to repair or replacement of the product or component part that proves defective during the warranty period.
What is NOT covered: defects or damage arising from improper installation, lack of or improper maintenance, use outside the published cycle rating, environmental conditions outside the published operating range, corrosion from exposure to salt air, acids, or industrial atmospheres without specification of the appropriate finish, ordinary wear and tear, misuse, abuse, accident, vandalism, or use with unauthorized non-LCN components or parts.
Conditions that void warranty: any modification to the product, regardless of whether the modification causes or contributes to the alleged defect. Modifications include drilling, retapping, repainting, removing or altering manufacturer markings, and installation of non-LCN replacement parts. All modifications are made at the risk of the party making the modification.
Implied warranties and damages: this warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. To the extent permitted by law, all implied warranties are limited to the duration of this warranty. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
Claim procedure: for warranty claims, contact Lock Depot at sales@lock-depot.com or 561-753-4660. Include your order number, the product or component part in question, and a brief description of the defect. Lock Depot will coordinate the warranty claim with the manufacturer on your behalf, including any required prior authorization, return shipping instructions, and inspection. Do not return product directly to the manufacturer without Lock Depot authorization - unauthorized returns may not be accepted.
