This is a genuine LCN replacement part for the 4110 Series. Door closers fail in two predictable ways: the closer body itself wears out, or a single sub-component (arm, shoe, cover, mounting plate, cylinder seal) breaks before the rest of the closer is at end of life. Replacing the part instead of the whole closer is the right call when the body is still good - it saves the labor of re-templating a fire-rated door, and it keeps the original Allegion ACN configuration intact so your master key, mounting prep, and arm geometry do not change.

Q: Is the finish factory-applied?
A: Yes. LCN bright brass is a factory finish matched to the parent 4110 closer family. Field-painted parts will not match other components on the same closer assembly and will not carry the LCN finish warranty.
Q: How do I confirm this is the right part for my closer?
A: Identify the closer body label first - it will read "LCN 4110" or similar. The part number on the body must match the 4110 family. For handed parts, confirm door handing from the inside looking at the hinges.
