Product Description
114141 Von Duprin Soffit Latch Kit for 5547-F, 8827-F and 8847-F
This is the top latch kit for the Von Duprin 5547-F, the fire rated version of the 5547 concealed vertical rod exit device. The soffit latch sits at the head of the door and throws up into the frame soffit. When the top latch on a 5547-F is worn, bent or broken and the door will not latch at the head, this kit is the part that goes back in.
Von Duprin prints the same part number, 114141, in three places in its price book: as the 5547-F Soffit Latch Kit, as the 8827-F/47-F Soffit Latch Kit (the 8827-F and 8847-F concealed vertical rod devices), and in its 98/99 parts list as the soffit latch for the WS98/9927/57/-F. It is one part, sold non-finished, $322 list in every one of those places.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: My device is a plain 5547, not a 5547-F. Is this my top latch?
A: Check the device label first. Von Duprin lists 114141 under the 5547-F, the 8827-F and the 8847-F. Match the part to what is on the door before you order.
Q: Do I need a finish?
A: No. Von Duprin sells 114141 non-finished. The latch sits inside the frame soffit and is not a finished face part.
Q: Does it come with screws and the mounting bracket?
A: The book lists the Soffit Latch Mounting Package (900502) and the screw packs as their own part numbers. If your old mounting hardware is damaged, order those too.
