Von Duprin 6113 Electric Strike — Satin Brass
The Von Duprin 6113 replaces the old VD 3011 and 3021 series strikes. Same cutout footprint, direct swap. Stainless steel body with integrated faceplate, 6" length, 3/4" latchbolt throw. Compatible with all standard rim exit devices including Von Duprin 22, 33A, 35A, 98/99, Falcon, Sargent, and Yale. Factory configured as fail secure with 12VDC operation. Fire rated UL 10C to 3 hours on single doors. If you've got 3011s or 3021s aging out, this is the modern replacement without touching the frame.
⚡ Fail Safe vs. Fail Secure — What's the Difference?
Fail Safe — Strike unlocks when power is lost. The door can be opened freely during a power outage.
Fail Secure — Strike remains locked when power is lost. Key override is always available from outside. Used for server rooms, evidence rooms, or anywhere security must be maintained during a power failure. The mechanical push bar still allows free egress from inside.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: This is a Fail Secure strike — it stays locked when power is lost, with key override from outside. Free egress from inside is always provided by the exit device itself, not by the strike. If you need the opening to release on power loss instead, order the FS version. When cutting the frame, double-check the strike pocket depth against the template before routing. The 61xx series needs a clean pocket — any debris behind the strike body will cause binding on the latchbolt.
