Von Duprin 6113 Electric Strike — Satin Brass
The Von Duprin 6113 replaces the old VD 3011 and 3021 series strikes. Same cutout footprint, direct swap. Stainless steel body with integrated faceplate, 6" length, 3/4" latchbolt throw. Compatible with all standard rim exit devices including Von Duprin 22, 33A, 35A, 98/99, Falcon, Sargent, and Yale. Equipped with a dual signal low-current switch for monitoring systems requiring minimal current draw. Factory configured as fail secure with 24VDC operation. Fire rated UL 10C to 3 hours on single doors. If you've got 3011s or 3021s aging out, this is the modern replacement without touching the frame.
⚡ Fail Safe vs. Fail Secure — What's the Difference?
Fail Safe — Strike unlocks when power is lost. The door can be opened freely during a power outage. Required on most fire-rated egress doors for life safety. This is the default for fire exits and emergency egress paths.
Fail Secure — Strike remains locked when power is lost. Key override is always available from outside. Used for server rooms, evidence rooms, or anywhere security must be maintained during a power failure. The mechanical push bar still allows free egress from inside.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: When cutting the frame, double-check the strike pocket depth against the template before routing. The 61xx series needs a clean pocket — any debris behind the strike body will cause binding on the latchbolt. This is a 24VDC model — make sure your power supply matches. Von Duprin PS914 or PS904 are the go-to supplies for 24V strike installations.
