Product Description
Von Duprin 6214 Electric Strike — Oil Rubbed Bronze
The Von Duprin 6214 has a compact body designed specifically for 1-3/4" door applications where frame depth is tight. Same heavy-duty stainless construction as the rest of the 6200 line. Factory configured as fail safe — power cuts, strike releases. 12VDC operation. When the frame won't accept a standard-depth strike body, the 6214's shallow profile gets the job done. Check your frame depth before ordering.
⚡ Fail Safe vs. Fail Secure — What's the Difference?
Fail Safe — Strike unlocks when power is lost. The door can be opened freely during a power outage.
Fail Secure — Strike remains locked when power is lost. Key override is always available from outside. Used for server rooms, evidence rooms, or anywhere security must be maintained during a power failure. The mechanical push bar still allows free egress from inside.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: The Oil Rubbed Bronze finish has a dark brown finish with subtle copper highlights — typically spec'd for upscale commercial or ecclesiastical projects.
