8238-LNL-BSP Sargent 8200 Series Classroom Security Intruder Latchbolt Mortise Lock in Black Suede

Product Description

The Sargent 8238-LNL-BSP is a 8200 Series Classroom Security Intruder Latchbolt mortise lock in Black Suede (BSP). A key from either side — outside or inside — locks and unlocks the outside lever, so the room can be locked down without stepping into the corridor. Sargent’s published function text states: “Trim inside always retracts latchbolt.” This function is latchbolt-only with an auxiliary deadlatch (an anti-shim feature); it has no deadbolt. ANSI F32 (per Sargent’s published catalog).

Includes a standard conventional mortise cylinder (keyed). Need it without a cylinder? Order the LC- less-cylinder variant of this part instead.

Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: When retrofitting from an older Sargent mortise lock, the 8200 drops right into the same prep — same backset, same strike. Save your customer the cost of new door prep.

• Heavy-duty cast stainless steel chassis — built for millions of cycles in high-traffic environments

• ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certified — highest commercial security rating
• Includes a standard conventional mortise cylinder (keyed) — order the LC- variant if you need it less cylinder.
