The Sargent 8239-LNJ-BSP is a 8200 Series Classroom Security Intruder Deadbolt mortise lock in Black Suede (BSP). A key from either side — outside or inside — projects or retracts a 1-inch throw deadbolt, and projecting that deadbolt is the only thing that locks the outside lever. Sargent’s published function text states: “Trim inside retracts both latchbolt and deadbolt simultaneously, and unlocks outside trim.” ANSI F33 (per Sargent’s published catalog).
