Product Description
83/45 700 OB ABUS 83/45 Rekeyable Brass Padlock, 1-3/4", Sargent LA / LB / LC Keyway
The ABUS 83/45 700 OB is a rekeyable 83 Series padlock set up for the Sargent LA / LB / LC keyway. It ships with a 0-bitted cylinder: the keyway is cut but the cylinder is not pinned, so you pin it to the key system the building already runs.
That is the whole point of the 83 Series. One padlock line covers gates, cages, roof hatches and chain on the same keys as the doors, and the cylinder can be repinned later instead of the lock being thrown away. The shackle is hardened steel.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: Does it come keyed?
A: No. The cylinder is 0-bitted. A locksmith pins it to your existing Sargent LA / LB / LC key, or to a new key, before it goes on the gate.
Q: Can I change the shackle?
A: Yes. 83 Series shackles are interchangeable. Longer and stainless shackles are sold separately, and the change is done with the ABUS shackle tool.
Q: Will it match my door keys?
A: If your doors run Sargent LA / LB / LC, yes. That is why it is built with this keyway. Order the keyway your building uses.
