Product Description
9948L-US28-3-RHR Von Duprin 9948 Series with 996L Lever Trim Right Handed Concealed Vertical Rod Exit Device in Anodized Aluminum
The 9948L-US28-3-RHR is a Von Duprin 99 Series Rim exit device in Aluminum (US28/628), sized for 3' doors. Classroom Function — outside lever is locked until unlocked by key, relocks automatically when door closes. Ships less cylinder — order a mortise cylinder separately to match your existing keyway.
ANSI/BHMA A156.3 Grade 1 certified. Hex key dogging standard. Factory set RHR, field reversible.
Pro-Tip from Our Locksmiths: Rim devices are visible on the door interior, so they're typically used on utilitarian doors (back exits, service doors, storage rooms) rather than customer-facing entrances. But they're reliable, affordable, and quick to install — spec them when aesthetics aren't the priority.
