Product Description
CEV2518 — AMSEC CEV2518 UL-Certified TL-15 High Security Composite Safe, UL-certified TL-15, 2-hour fire
Most safe listings tell you a rating and hide the tape measure. You find out it does not fit the closet, the cabinet base or the freight elevator after it is on the truck. The CEV2518 measures 32"H x 25"W x 25.5"D outside. It carries UL-certified TL-15 and 2-hour fire. This is a freight delivery and a real anchoring job. AMSEC and our distributor publish different shipping weights for this model, so we are not printing one — call (877) 365-5625 and we will confirm the weight before you book the delivery.

Compliance & Codes
Burglary: UL-certified TL-15. Underwriters Laboratories technicians attacked the door and front face for 15 minutes of net working time with hand tools, picking tools, mechanical and portable electric tools, grinders and carbide drills, and did not get in. TL-15 is the burglary class most commonly written into commercial, school-district and jeweler's-block specifications.
Fire: 2-hour (120-minute) fire rating at 1850°F. AMSEC describes this as an independent fire certification but does not name the testing laboratory, and publishes no interior hold temperature for this series. We are repeating AMSEC's wording exactly rather than upgrading it to a named third-party certification. If your specification names a testing body, call us before you order.
How to read these ratings. UL-certified means Underwriters Laboratories attacked a sample and it held — TL-15 and RSC are UL classes. ETL/Intertek verified means an independent lab confirmed the manufacturer's fire test. A factory rating means AMSEC ran the test itself. B-Rate is a steel-thickness construction class and is not a certification at all. Purchasing specifications usually name one of these exactly, and a substitution gets a purchase order rejected. If you are buying to a written spec, read us the line and we will tell you whether this safe meets it.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: Will the CEV2518 fit where I want to put it?
A: Outside it is 32"H x 25"W x 25.5"D. Measure the doorway and any turn on the route, not just the final spot — on a safe this size the doorway is what stops the delivery. Add clearance in front for the door to swing full open.
Q: Our purchasing specification says TL-15. Does this qualify?
A: Yes. The CEV2518 is UL-certified TL-15, which is the literal class written into most institutional, school-district and jeweler's-block specifications. If your spec sheet needs the UL listing reference for the submittal package, call us and we will pull it from AMSEC.
Q: Does the fire rating protect a hard drive or media?
A: Treat it as paper protection. AMSEC publishes no interior hold temperature for this series, and the rating is written around paper documents — paper chars near 400°F. Magnetic media and drives start failing well below that, closer to 125°F. For media you want a dedicated media safe or an internal media chest.
Q: Does it have to be anchored?
A: Anchor it. Anchoring is what stops a safe this size being tipped and worked on its back, where the door is weakest. Anchor into concrete where you can; on a wood floor, through the joist.
