Product Description
28C LL 26D Sargent Classroom Lever Exit Trim for 2828 / 3828 Rim Exit Devices, L Lever, Satin Chrome (626)
The 28C LL is the Sargent classroom lever trim for the 20 Series 2828 and 30 Series 3828 rim exit devices. It mounts on the outside of the door and gives the device a lever and a key. Classroom function means a key in the outside cylinder locks or unlocks the lever. When it is locked, the outside lever will not open the door. The exit device on the inside always lets people out.
This one is the L lever on the L rose in 626 satin chrome (26D). It comes with a conventional cylinder in the Sargent LA keyway, keyed different. Use it to add outside lever access to a 2828 or 3828 that has no trim, or to replace a worn or damaged one.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: Will it fit my Sargent 80 Series device?
A: No. The 80 Series uses its own trim (ETL and similar). This trim is for the 2828 and 3828 rim devices.
Q: What is the difference between 28C and 28K?
A: 28C (classroom) lets the key lock or unlock the outside lever and it stays that way. 28K (night latch) keeps the lever locked and the key only pulls back the latch.
Q: Can I get it to take my building's key system?
A: This SKU ships with a standard LA keyway cylinder. Sargent offers other keyways and interchangeable core options as separate part numbers.
