The Detex V50 delayed egress device provides a 15-second hold (field-selectable to 30) with audible and visual warning — then releases clean.

Function Details

- Cylinder dogging holds latch retracted with a key cylinder for authorized free egress during business hours. Cylinder sold separately.

Standard configuration fits doors up to 36X84. Top and bottom rod lengths are field-adjustable. For doors exceeding standard height, verify rod lengths before ordering.
Can the delay be changed from 15 to 30 seconds?
Yes, the device is field-selectable between 15 and 30 seconds. However, a 30-second delay requires written approval from your local Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) or Fire Marshal before installation.
What cylinder does this require?
Standard 1-1/8" mortise cylinder. Compatible with most major manufacturers — Schlage, Yale, Sargent, Corbin Russwin. Match your existing keyway for master key integration.
