Compliance & Codes
Burglary: B-Rate construction. B-Rate describes how the safe is built — steel thickness at the door and body — and it is not a UL burglary certification. Nobody tested this safe against a UL attack protocol. If your specification calls for a UL burglary rating, step up to a UL RSC or TL-15 model.
How to read these ratings. UL-certified means Underwriters Laboratories attacked a sample and it held — TL-15 and RSC are UL classes. ETL/Intertek verified means an independent lab confirmed the manufacturer's fire test. A factory rating means AMSEC ran the test itself. B-Rate is a steel-thickness construction class and is not a certification at all. Purchasing specifications usually name one of these exactly, and a substitution gets a purchase order rejected. If you are buying to a written spec, read us the line and we will tell you whether this safe meets it.

Pro-Installer FAQ
Q: Is B-Rate a UL rating?
A: No, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling. B-Rate describes steel thickness, not a test result. No lab attacked this safe. It is honest, useful construction for cash control and casual theft, but if a purchase order specifies a UL burglary rating you need a UL RSC or TL-15 model.
Q: Does it have to be anchored?
A: Anchor it. At 144 lbs two people with a hand truck can walk this out the door, so anchoring is not optional if the room is ever unattended. Anchor into concrete where you can; on a wood floor, through the joist.
Lock Depot sells brand new AMSEC products with the full manufacturer warranty. Questions on fit, anchoring or freight: (877) 365-5625.
