Product Description
ECL-2100K Detex Exit Control Lock — Key Retract — Key-Retractable Alarmed Exit Device, Gray
Delivery doors, loading docks, and receiving areas need to switch between alarmed-secure and open-for-business throughout the day. The ECL-2100K lets you key-retract the bolt and silence the alarm when the dock is active. The Detex ECL-2100K solves this — Alarmed exit control with key-retractable deadbolt. Allows authorized personnel to disable the alarm and hold the door open with a key cylinder.

Pro-Installer FAQ
How long does the 9V battery last?
Under normal conditions (1-2 alarm activations per day), expect 1-3 years of battery life. The alarm draws current only when activated. We recommend annual battery replacement as part of your door hardware inspection schedule.
Can this be used on a fire-rated door?
The ECL series is UL listed panic hardware and can be used on fire-rated openings where panic hardware is required. Verify with your AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) for your specific door assembly configuration.
What's the difference between the ECL-230D and ECL-230X?
The 230X has a hardened deadbolt for higher security applications and includes a photo-luminescent sign. The 230D is the standard-duty version. Both produce 100dB alarm and meet the same code requirements.
