GMS 1-1/8" Mortise Cylinder, Kwikset Keyway, Oil Rubbed Bronze (10B), Adams Rite Cam

This is a GMS 1-1/8" mortise cylinder — the threaded brass cylinder that screws into a mortise lock body and turns the lock when the key rotates. GMS builds these to OEM pinning specs, so it drops into standard mortise prep and behaves like the cylinder that came out. If you're servicing storefront, aluminum-door, or commercial mortise hardware and need a clean replacement without ordering a whole new lock, this is the part.

It runs a Kwikset (KW1) keyway, five-pin, drilled six. That means it takes the same Kwikset key blank you already stock, and it keys straight into an existing Kwikset system — you can bring a building's mortise doors onto the same key without re-pinning everything else. Coming drilled-6, it also leaves you room to work a master key into the job later if the system grows.

The cam is an Adams Rite cam — the flat tailpiece on the back that actually throws the bolt. That's the cam aluminum storefront doors are built around, which is why this exact configuration shows up so often on glass-and-aluminum entrances and the Adams Rite deadlatches and deadbolts that live in them. The wrong cam is the number-one reason a "correct" cylinder won't operate the lock; this one is spec'd for that application out of the box.

Finish is oil rubbed bronze (US10B) — a dark, warm brown-black that's a living finish, so it deepens and highlights as it's handled. It ships keyed alike in pairs: two cylinders, one key, which is exactly what you want when you're matching a front and vestibule door, a pair of storefront entrances, or any two openings that share a key.
