The Schlage Connect BE469ZP is a Grade 1 keyless touchscreen deadbolt built for the front door of a home or a small-office entrance. It ditches the keypad buttons for a smooth, fingerprint-resistant touchscreen so nobody can read your code off worn keys, and it holds up to 30 individual access codes — hand one to the housekeeper, one to the dog walker, one to the kids, and delete any of them the moment you need to. A built-in alarm senses forced-entry attempts at the door and sounds off, which is the feature that separates the Connect from a plain keypad deadbolt.
The ZP designation means this lock speaks Z-Wave Plus, so it pairs with a compatible smart-home hub or security panel for remote lock/unlock, code management, and activity history from your phone. It also works perfectly well as a standalone touchscreen deadbolt if you never connect it — the keypad, alarm, and physical key override all function with no hub at all. The Century trim is the clean, squared-off modern style; this one ships in Matte Black (622).
Installation is straightforward for anyone who has set a standard deadbolt: adjustable backset fits both 2-3/8" and 2-3/4" bores, it mounts on doors 1-3/8" to 1-3/4" thick, and it runs on four AA batteries (included) with a low-battery indicator so it never dies without warning.
